AWS Scale Series: Getting started with Containers

This session will provide an introduction to what containers are and how they help us build modern applications.
We will:
Explore the basics of containers, container images and container runtime
Learn about container registries, like Docker Hub and Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR)
Discuss the process of defining, building and interacting with containerized applications

Then we’ll get hands on to define and build container images, and use this to run your first container using Docker.
